What are inscribed angles?
Read pp. 678-681 in the text book (lesson 12-3). Do p. 681 # 1–20. Show work for # 5–20.
We started today by eviewing that central angles have the same measure of the arcs they intercept, and vice versa. We expanded our circle angles knowledge by learning about inscribed angles. An inscribed angle is an angle made by two chords, whose vertex lies on the circle.
We discovered that inscribed angles have measures that are half of their intercepted arcs.
