Using your experience from yesterday's lesson, estimate the number of degrees in each angle (picture not shown).
Today's lesson was a clear link to yesterday. Students' objective was to be able to determine precise angle measurements using a protractor. Estimation played a critical role in today's lesson. When looking at a protractor, there are two measurements. Students used their understanding of acute and obtuse angles--and estimation-- to correctly determine the right measure. Students worked collaboratively to measure angles in contextual applications.
