HW: Similar Figures Review Worksheet
Do Now: A recipe requires 1.3 cup of milk for every 1/4 cup of water. How many cups of water are required for each cup of milk?
Ans. Some students set up and solved proportions using cross multiplication. Some other students chose to use scale factors. Both methods yield the same response: 3/4 cup of water for each cup of milk.
Classwork: Students engaged in high level multi-step similarity and proportional reasoning questions. They worked individually and in small groups. They also worked on problem sets with the READY NY CCLS workbook and self-assessed their results.
Please use the review lesson below for similarity. The attached worksheet is homework and answers will be discussed tomorrow.
