AIM: How can we use scale factors to draw similar figures with missing lengths?
HW: Happy Halloween!
Classwork: The concept of scale factor was once again used today to find missing side lengths. Students used corresponding sides to determine the scale factor from the figure with all sides to the one with one missing side. Once the scale factor was established, they used it to multiply by one of the sides to find it's missing corresponding side. Next week we will learn alternate methods of finding the missing sides of a similar figure. Students will have a choice of using the method they prefer best, or the method that is faster/easier for particular problems.
