AIM: How can we assess our inequality skills?
HW: Translating Equations and Inequalities Worksheet (found below)
Do Now: The probability of an event happening is 1/4. The probability of another event happening is 1/2. Create an area model to show the probability of both events happening.
Classwork: The class worked on 10 inequality problems that addressed all the types of problems we've worked on so far; graphing, writing, solving, etc. We used Plickers to self-assess and collect results. The scores will allow students to see what they're understanding and what still needs developing. We also will take the results and use them to group students for tomrorow's group activity on NYS assessment level word problems.
